Design and fuse a glass platter or bowl to WOW at your next dinner party. Taught by Rose-mary Faulkner.

What to expect?
Led by a skilled Kiln former, participants learn the art of creating a platter or bowl using cold glass techniques. With hands-on guidance, participants will master the essentials of cutting, layering, shaping, and fusing glass. Discover the secrets behind selecting colours and textures and find the perfect balance to bring your vision to life. 

What to bring
Please bring a water bottle and your enthusiasm! You must wear fully closed shoes. You must wear your prescription glasses over contact lenses. All materials and safety equipment for this class will be provided. 

What you will make

You will make a large platter or slumped bowl with as much or as little colour as your heart desires. Works are required to fuse overnight, and if slumped, fused again. You work will be available for collection the following Wednesday after the class takes place during our opening hours Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 4pm form the Gallery Shop.

Rose-Mary Faulkner is an emerging glass artist based in Canberra, ACT which is Ngunnawal, Ngunawal and Ngambri land. She graduated from the Australian National University School of Art & Design, Glass Workshop, in 2015 with a Bachelor of Visual Arts and then completed honours in 2016. Since then, Rose-Mary has been working extensively to expand and develop her artistic practice. She is a studio tenant at Canberra Glassworks where she primarily makes her work.
