Exhibition Opening: Annette Blair, Quietly Spoken & Kate Nixon, On Reflection
- Duration: 2 Hours (approx.)
- Location: Kingston, ACT
Join us for drinks as we officially open two new exhibitions on Wednesday 15 June from 5PM.
Both solo exhibitions will be showing at at Canberra Glassworks from 15th June to 14th August 2022.
Annette Blair uses intricately made glass objects to recreate vignettes of daily life that are based on memories of both object and owner. She reminds us that glass is part of our everyday lives.
Kate Nixon celebrates the hidden but essential routines in our daily lives. Using traditional mosaic techniques, she transforms the humble rubbish bin into a symbol of domestic delight.
As part of these two solo exhibitions, both artists have collaborated on a work that celebrates their individual skills in glassmaking, bringing together their shared narratives.
