Make Your Own Bird
- Duration: 20 Minutes (approx.)
- Location: Kingston, ACT
In this 20-minute class, participants will experience a one-on-one workshop with a skilled glassblower who will guide them through the basics of working with hot glass using blowing techniques to make a small bird.
This is an individual workshop.
Our Hotshop mezzanine is the perfect place to watch and support our Make Your Own participants while they are on the Hotshop floor. We only have one session running at a time. If you would like to experience this class with another person, we recommend booking consecutive sessions as it is not possible for two people to take this class in the same session.
What to bring?
Please bring a water bottle and your enthusiasm! To participate in this workshop you must wear fully closed shoes, clothing in natural fabrics (denim, wool, cotton, linen), and have long hair pulled back. You must wear your prescription glasses over contact lenses. All materials and safety equipment for this class will be provided.
What will you make?
A hot sculpted glass bird! You can make your bird in up to 2 colours. You work made in the class will be available to collect the following Wednesday after the workshop is complete during our opening hours Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 4pm from the Gallery Shop.
