Private Glass Blowing Class

For couples or individuals eager to master glass blowing at their own speed, this private class delivers the ultimate half-day Hotshop experience. To book in for a couple, please book one session and enter the details for two participants. The charge for one session stays the same if you are booking for one or two people. 

What to expect
This class is designed for those who want a more flexible experience learning glass, and covers all experience levels from beginners to those who are more advanced. Create a set of tumblers, blow a couple of bowls or apply yourself to learn some new techniques. 

What to bring?
Please bring a water bottle and your enthusiasm! To participate in this workshop you must wear fully closed shoes, clothing in natural fabrics (denim, wool, cotton, linen), and have long hair pulled back. This is important for your safety in the hotshop. You must wear your prescription glasses over contact lenses. All materials and safety equipment for this class will be provided. 

What will you make? 
This class can be tailored to your desires, or can emulate the experience of doing a Make Your Own class together. Typically beginners can walk away with 2 cups, a bowl and a paperweight, but it depends on what you're interested in - get in touch and ask if you're not sure. Your work made in the class will be available to collect the following Wednesday after the workshop is complete during our opening hours Wednesday to Sunday 10am to 4pm from the Gallery Shop.

Session times: Saturdays and Sundays 12.30 to 4.30

This program is suitable for ages 14+

No previous experience required, please let us know by email if you are interested in a more advanced level or have anything particular in mind.
