Perfect for families or small groups of travellers, this exclusive experience offers a fascinating introduction to the rich history and artistry of glassmaking in Australia.

After your guided tour, step into the studio for a hands-on workshop where you’ll become the artist: cutting, arranging, and fusing colourful glass to create your own one-of-a-kind kiln-formed glass souvenir to take home.

Suitable for 8 + (children aged 5 to 7 years old will need to be accompanied and assisted at all times by a parent/guardian)

Safety requirements

For safety reasons, fully enclosed footwear is mandatory. Participants wearing open shoes will not be permitted to take part in the tile-making activity.

Collection of finished work

Kiln-formed glass tiles require a 24-hour annealing process. Completed works will be available for collection from the Canberra Glassworks foyer five working days after the tour, between Wednesday and Sunday, 10 am and 4 pm from the Canberra Glassworks shop. Postage can be arranged upon request for an additional fee.
