Elián Tazzyman is hosting two free workshops designed for artists wanting to expand their coldworking skills and explore the nuances of artificial stone wheel use.

About the teacher

Elián Tazzyman is a graduate and former lecturer of the ANU Glass Workshop, and a graduate of the Střední uměleckoprůmyslová škola sklářská (SUPŠS) in Kamenický Šenov, Czech Republic. In 2008 he received a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship to study traditional and contemporary carving and engraving at leading schools and studios across the USA, UK, and Europe. Based in Canberra, Elián now works with glass artists to extend their coldworking expertise through his private studio practice

Prerequisites:

• Participants must be familiar with glass carving and already inducted into the coldshop.

• Glass students and artists without lathe experience are welcome but must have completed both general and lathe inductions and hold insurance to ensure subsequent use of the stone wheels.
